𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: DoS LAUNCH The Department of State has officially opened its doors in Liberty.
STATE OF LIBERTY — A chaotic pursuit involving the Liberty State Patrol (LSP) and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD) ended dramatically this afternoon when a Department of Public Safety interceptor vaulted onto the hood of a suspect’s vehicle during a tactical maneuver.
The incident involved a white sedan and spanned several districts, shifting from a slow-speed procession to a dangerous high-speed chase before terminating in a collision on Lakeview Court.
From Tunnel to Traffic Stop
The situation began earlier today near the River City Tunnel, where officers from the Motor Carrier Compliance Division and Liberty State Patrol initially attempted to stop the white vehicle. For several minutes, the pursuit continued at unusually slow speeds, with the suspect refusing to pull over but maintaining a pace that confused onlookers.
However, the situation escalated rapidly as the driver accelerated, leading Liberty State DPS units on a high-speed chase through the city streets.
The Turning Point
The pursuit reached a boiling point at the intersection of Maple Street and Spring Creek Road, near the 900 block. According to reports from the scene, the suspect vehicle abruptly rear-ended a Department of Public Safety vehicle.
One officer involved in the collision recounted the moments immediately following the impact:
"I turned on my emergency lights and sirens and waited until all LEO personnel passed and followed quickly behind."
The Final Crash
The chase turned onto Lakeview Court from Maple Street, a residential cul-de-sac where the suspect ran out of room.
The Department of Public Safety states the suspect attempted a desperate maneuver, causing the white sedan to crash backwards into a tree (code 10-50). Attempting to secure the scene and prevent the suspect from fleeing again, the involved officer moved to pin the suspect's vehicle.
In a stunning turn of events, as the officer rammed the front of the suspect's car to block them in, the patrol vehicle’s momentum caused it to "ramp" up the front of the white sedan, coming to a rest directly on top of the suspect's hood.
Aftermath
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to Lakeview Court. While the state patrol unit was left perched atop the white sedan, initial reports suggest the suspect was successfully detained. No life-threatening injuries have been reported at this time, though traffic remains diverted around Maple Street while the LSP accident investigation team clears the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the driver or the specific charges they will face.
STATE OF LIBERTY — A tense, potentially volatile situation at a local firearms retailer ended without bloodshed this evening, thanks to the calculated tactical response of the Liberty State Patrol (LSP).
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has confirmed the arrest of two individuals at Springfield Liberty Guns & Ammo following a vehicle pursuit that transitioned into a barricade situation inside the business’s shooting range.
The Pursuit and Barricade According to authorities on the scene, the primary suspect was already well-known to law enforcement due to a history of fleeing police. The situation escalated rapidly when the suspect vehicle abruptly halted outside the gun store. Both the driver and a passenger fled the vehicle and ran deep into the building, barricading themselves inside the fortified shooting range.
Troopers immediately established a tight perimeter, sealing off exits to prevent escape or danger to the public. The primary responding team included Trooper Laney, Trooper Jones, and Probationary Trooper Kenneth, operating under the on-scene command of Lieutenant Felix Stone.
Tactical Deployment Facing suspects entrenched in an area designed to contain gunfire, Lt. Stone opted for non-lethal pressure tactics to force a surrender rather than risking a direct armed confrontation.
"The suspect had been suspected by the Liberty State Patrol for evading on several occasions," Lt. Stone told 5 NEWS on the scene. "These two suspects were quickly closed in by the pressure of myself and the team."
To resolve the standoff, officers utilized pepperball munitions—projectiles that rupture on impact, releasing a chemical irritant designed to temporarily impair vision and breathing.
"Quickly into the scene, I used my pepperball shotgun to shoot a pepperball into the room, which makes it harder for the suspects to breathe and tears up their eyes," Lt. Stone explained. After waiting approximately 15 minutes for the irritant to take effect, a second volley was fired, "doubling the effects on the scene."
As Lieutenant Colonel Tate B. arrived to provide senior oversight, the team escalated psychological pressure by activating the building's fire alarm, further disorienting the barricaded suspects.
A Peaceful Resolution Moments after the alarm sounded, combined with the effects of the chemical agents, both suspects exited the shooting range.
"Both suspects stepped out by Law Enforcement orders with their hands up as the Liberty State Patrol detained them safely with no casualties or major injuries," Lt. Stone confirmed.
Lieutenant Colonel Tate B., acting as a secondary responder, praised the flawless execution of the operation in a high-stakes environment.
"I watched Lt. Stone's excellent leadership with the team," Lt. Col. Tate B. stated. "The team and Lt. Stone responded excellently to this incident and no casualties occurred. I am very proud of my team and leadership."
Both suspects are currently being processed at the Springfield precinct. The names of the suspects have not yet been released pending formal charges.
STATE OF LIBERTY — The landscape of local commerce changed today with the official grand opening of the Liberty Department of State (DoS). The new department aims to streamline the creation of private enterprises and offer citizens new ways to establish their own legacies within the state.
In an announcement to the community, DoS officials described the launch as a "brand new concept" designed to improve life in Liberty County. The department is positioned as the perfect middle ground for citizens who want to lead an organization without the massive commitment of running a full government department.
Private Security & Business Licenses A major highlight of the launch is the introduction of Security Company applications. "The Department of State is also offering Security Company applications," the announcement read. "Hold your own private security, jewelry security, whatever your mind can think of!"
Whether citizens are looking to open a retail store or a private protection firm, the Department of State is now officially accepting both business and employment applications. This move is expected to spark a wave of new startups and services across the county.
How to Apply Prospective business owners and job seekers are encouraged to visit the Department of State’s official channels to submit their applications immediately.
STATE OF LIBERTY — A massive joint operation between the River City Police Department (RCPD) and the Liberty State Patrol has resulted in the capture of Lollyroblox1, the alleged leader of the notorious "Liberty Front" mafia organization.
The operation, which took place on January 11, marked the end of what officials are calling a "long operation" targeting the organized crime ring.
Strategic Coordination Colonel Landon S. praised the collaboration between the agencies, emphasizing that the unified front was key to the mission's success. "Close operations within departments [saw] most efforts turned into safety and coordination," Colonel Landon stated following the arrest. "The safety of the City and the State are our top priority."
The Pursuit and Standoff The takedown culminated in a dramatic high-speed pursuit. According to Lieutenant Colonel Tate B. of the Department of Public Safety, officers executed a PIT maneuver to disable the suspect's vehicle. A foot chase ensued into nearby farmland, where the suspect barricaded herself atop a silo. She surrendered only after officers threatened to deploy tear gas.
Reflecting on the mission's scope, Lt. Colonel Tate B. noted the determination of the task force: "[It was a] long operation... [we kept] in mind that we were going to catch the criminals."
Casualties and Officer Down The confrontation was intense. The suspect’s partner was fatally shot on the scene by Lieutenant Felix Stone following a confrontation (Lt. Stone was cleared of wrongdoing). Tragically, the Chief of Police sustained gunshot wounds during the operation and is currently receiving treatment at Liberty County Medical Hospital.
Despite the injuries sustained by the Chief and the death of the suspect's partner, Lt. Colonel Tate B. expressed relief that the operation did not result in further loss of life among the officers or the capture target. "Safety was our major concern and we're glad about having no [officer] casualties in the operation," Tate said.
Ambush and Aftermath Tensions remained high during the transport of Lollyroblox1 to the county jail via armored vehicle, as the motorcade came under fire from an unidentified shooter. The team successfully repelled the attack, delivering the high-value target to custody.
Authorities warn that while the leader is behind bars, the manhunt for remaining associates continues.
